Before joining our family, Rachele excelled at several prominent automotive dealerships in the area, building a comprehensive skill set that covers every angle of the industry.

Her expertise is remarkably broad, spanning marketing, sales, finance, and complex title documentation. Rachele’s technical knowledge is equally impressive; she possesses a deep understanding of vehicle makes, engine specifications, and common mechanical systems. This makes her our resident expert for handling warranty claims and insurance losses. Shawn Englisbee established Used Car Factory in 2004, bringing a vision of transparency and affordability to the Lafayette community. A graduate of LSU with a degree in Business, Shawn launched his career in the automotive sector in 1990. With over 35 years of industry experience, he has mastered every facet of the business, having served as a Sales Associate, Finance Manager, Sales Manager, and Director of Finance.

This extensive background provided Shawn with the unique insight needed to reinvent the car-buying process. He founded Used Car Factory to provide fellow citizens with high-quality pre-owned vehicles and what he calls "a great purchasing experience." By combining his deep technical understanding with a hand-picked, well-informed staff, Shawn ensures that every customer receives a unique and totally personalized experience. His commitment to the Acadiana area remains the driving force behind the dealership’s decades of success and its reputation for integrity.

Sarah is a tireless worker who is just as likely to be found prepping inventory, organizing the lot, or attending auctions alongside Shawn to hand-pick our next units. She bridges the gap between administrative excellence and hands-on dealership life. Sarah’s ability to manage the complexities of the business while maintaining a kind, giving spirit makes her an irreplaceable member of our team and the heart of our daily operations.

Paco - Lead Security

Paco was more than just a presence at Used Car Factory; he was the heart and soul of our daily operations. Serving as our Lead Security and official mascot, Paco took his job seriously—which mostly involved greeting every guest with a wagging tail and offering the kind of loyal companionship that only a "best friend" can provide. He was a constant fixture at the dealership, providing a sense of warmth and home to everyone who walked through our doors.

Though Paco has since passed, his memory remains a fundamental part of our identity. He taught us the value of loyalty, patience, and unconditional kindness—traits we strive to bring to our business every day. We keep his bio here to honor the years of dedicated "service" he gave us and to remember the joy he brought to Sarah our staff, and our customers. Paco remains a legendary member of the Used Car Factory family, forever watching over the lot he loved.
